Are you ready to join a dynamic team and play a vital role in supporting the United States Attorney's Office? We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual for the position of Clerk II, based in Jacksonville, Florida. The Clerk II scope of work includes:


Basic Position
Responsibilities: (See Job Description for complete information)

  • Prepare legal documents, correspondence, and related materials.
  • Review incoming material thoroughly and accurately.
  • Verify citations and statutory references, ensuring compliance with style and format rules.
  • Assist attorneys in court preparations, manage calendars, schedule court reporters, and arrange for witness services.
  • Maintain organized legal files and input data into the case management system.
  • Answer multi-line EVoip phone system using Broadworks receptionist software.
  • Greet visitors and press, answering questions and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Handle mail, checks, and supply shipments efficiently.
  • Communicate professionally with staff, the public, and stakeholders.
  • Meet established deadlines and work collaboratively as a team player.
  • Maintain a courteous and tactful manner in all interactions.
  • Assist in administrative, IT/systems, or legal sections of the office.
  • Quickly learn new software and tasks due to the varied nature of duties

Required
SkillsandExperience:(See Job Description for complete information)
  • High School Degree.
  • Previous experience with the United States Attorney's Office preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in office software and phone systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship
